Book summary:
The legend of the Paka Watu…

Ever since she was a young girl, Abby Lane can’t resist the allure of a catshifter tribe forced to repress their beasts. On a trip to Africa, she discovers a coveted piece of information—the name the pride leader assumed when he left his home—and she traces his lineage to his descendent.

The sleeping lion…

Utah Pearce can’t keep his gaze off the woman who slips into the bar every night. Though not his usual type, she brings out the possessive instinct in him, making him battle with himself as he tries to stay away.

Abby’s research never prepared her for the reality in front of her. The beast is waking, and Utah is changing in ways both exciting and terrifying. He is possessive and dominant, and when he finally claims her, neither of them will ever be the same.

Abby Lane has been attracted to large cats, mainly lions, since a very young age. As she grows up, her life revolves around the legend of the Paka Watu. On a trip to Africa she discovers a lead in the legend that leads her directly to Utah Pearce. Utah is a dominant man that cannot seem to keep his eyes off of Abby, even though he does his best to not show it. One day they both wake up to discover that they were kidnapped and by someone related by blood. Now they have to work together to escape and find some much needed answers.

It is easy to connect with the characters and it is a decently written story. I would have to say at least half the book had some sort of sexual scene. So be prepared for that. Otherwise I thought it was a good book to read. I would not have chosen this otherwise but I am glad I have the opportunity to read it. Not the most complex of books but a nice easy quick read.

Special thanks in winning this book through goodreads giveaway.
