New York City is a big anonymous place. Just what Anna had needed after the year she’d had back home. The hope that college in a city far from her Tennessee small town would be enough to forget. But when her best friend becomes like family, Anna finds herself living with renewed hope that life will go on. When her heart falls in love with Dominic, her best friends older brother, Anna’s world tilts on its axis again. She is trying to move on, but the guilt of being happy with someone else weighs heavy on her mind and in her heart. When she begins to dance again, Anna’s drive to carry on will be tested time and again. Will she and her past love be able to let go before it is too late?
This book is original and I have never read anything like it. Anna moves to New York after something terrible happens to her. But once in New York she starts to fall in love with someone. One night after Anna goes on a date with Dominic, he pulls her in a dance store and tells her to pick something. After some coaxing she finally settles on a pair of dance shoes. What she does not know is that these shoes will change her life and she will have to make a serious decision.
This book was easy to get into and the more I read, the less I wanted to put the book down. Anna gets a second chance to be with her first love. I bet most people would do anything to get that second chance. But of course there are choices to make and with those choices, consequences. I also liked how Anna’s best friends brother becomes her boyfriend. So you can get a better understanding of how Dominic feels for Anna. Through Bella, Anna finds out that Dominic likes her. Through the entire book you slowly see her fall in love with him way before she even realizes it.
I think this is a great book to read and I would re-read it. It’s a different story and I have never read anything like this. Each character is different with different personalities. And you want the best for them. They become our friends and someone you would want to hang out with. So enjoy the book and let me know what you think about it.
