Review:

I had to give it a few of chapters before I started to get into the story and I have to say it got better the closer I came to finishing the book. I was very surprised by how much I started to really enjoy reading it.

So basically the story is about a couple that both lost people that they love and meet each other at a grief meeting. When Gage and Anna decide to have a baby they want to adopt, due to past miscarriages. While waiting to adopt they meet a young woman, Lilly, who happens to be pregnant and decides to give her child to Gage and Anna. But with one condition, that they financially support her. Everything seems great until Gage starts to feel uneasy about the whole ordeal. But he tries to keep his suspicions to himself because it seems to drive a wedge between Gage and Anna.

The book is a mystery because you want to know what is going to happen next and I bet some of you will be surprised on what is going to happen. All I am going to tell you is to give it a chance. I would say more about the story but I do not want to give the ending away. Wait until the dark aura appears because that is when the book becomes interesting. The closer I got towards the end of the book, the harder it was to put the book down. Absolutely amazing!

I was lucky enough to receive Desperate as a free book from Goodreads giveaway and glad that I have read the book.
